Trump became publicly known through real-estate ventures, licensing, books and television. Claims made by his own organizations can establish what those organizations say, but do not independently verify every valuation, performance claim or characterization.

Two impeachment proceedings
The House of Representatives impeached Trump on December 18, 2019 and again on January 13, 2021. The Senate acquitted him in both proceedings.
